Police have released CCTV following an attempted armed robbery at a milk bar in Norlane this morning.

A man entered the Robin Avenue store just after 8am and walked towards the counter.

He then threatened the male attendant with a knife and made a demand for cash.

As the man approached the counter, the victim threw a metal stool at him and the man left the store.

He was last seen riding a bicycle along Curlew Crescent.

The attendant was not physically injured and nothing was stolen.

Detectives from Geelong Crime Investigation Unit are investigating and have released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey hooded jumper and grey pants, and had white cloth over his face.
