Detectives from the Serious Crime Task Force arrested a man yesterday wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery at Seacombe Gardens earlier this month.

At 1.30am on Wednesday 8 June, police were called to the BankSA branch on Sturt Road after reports a man armed with a knife had allegedly confronted and threatened a cleaner as he was leaving the building.

Police will further allege the suspect then entered the bank and left shortly after taking a small bag containing documents.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Police conducted a search of the area with the assistance of a police dog but were unable to locate anyone.

A 38-year-old from Seacombe Gardens has been charged with aggravated robbery and carry an offensive weapon.  He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today
