Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a service station in St Andrews overnight.

About 10.50pm yesterday (Friday 24 June 2016), a man entered a service station on Stranraer Drive.

He produced a firearm and demanded money from the till.

An employee handed over cash and the man fled.

Officers attached to Macquarie Fields Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced investigations.

Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a tall thin build.

He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jumper and tracksuit pants, and black fingerless gloves.

As inquiries continue, investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information, to come forward.
