Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Aitkenvale last night.
At about 11.20pm two men, one armed with a machete and the other with a knife entered the store on Nathan Street and demanded money from the male attendant.
The man armed with machete has struck the counter area a number of times with the machete while making the demands. The attendant complied with the demands and handed over a sum of money. Both men then left the store.
One of the men is described as Aboriginal in appearance, about 175cm tall and was wearing a red baseball cap, a black long sleeve jumper, grey long shorts and brown thongs.
The other man is described as Caucasian, about 180cm tall and was wearing a purple and white baseball cap, with a purple bandanna over his face, a white short sleeve T-shirt with a large unknown graphic on the front, maroon long sleeve under-shirt, long dark pants, and blue shoes that appeared to have pink laces.
The 39-year-old store attendant was not physically harmed during the incident.
