Three men have been arrested following an armed robbery at Bankstown today.

Just before 3.30pm (Thursday 7 July 2016), two men entered a pharmacy on Rookwood Road armed with a firearm.

The men threatened staff and demanded money before fleeing with a small sum of cash.

They fled the area in a gold Mazda which was being driven by another man.

Police were alerted and officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.

A short time later, officers spotted the car in a car park on West Terrace and arrested three men.

They are currently assisting with inquiries at Bankstown Police Station.
