A Taringa convenience store was robbed this afternoon by a man armed with a gun.

Around midday a man entered the Hillsdon Road business and threatened the female attendant with a gun.

The attendant refused to hand over money at which point the man leant over the counter and took cash from the register drawer before fleeing the store.

The attendant was not physically harmed.

The gun was not discharged during the robbery.

The man is described as having a solid build and was wearing a grey hooded jumper, blue jeans, white joggers, white gloves and was carrying a black bag.
