Police are investigating after a bottle shop was robbed at Morningside last night.

Around 8.10pm two men entered the Junction Road business armed with knives.  One man approached a male employee and threatened him with a knife making demands for money.

The employee complied with the demands and opened the till.  Whilst the first man took cash from the till the second man took bottles of alcohol.

The employee was then ordered to the floor but was kicked in the face as he complied.

The two men then ran off and were last seen driving off in a silver sedan.

The male employee was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of facial injuries.

The first man is described as possibly being of Pacific Islander appearance, of medium build, wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark shorts, sports shoes and had a white face covering.

The second man is described as having a dark complexion, of medium build and was wearing a black hooded jumper, black shorts, sports shoes and had a dark face covering.
