Three men have been charged following an armed robbery at Bankstown yesterday.

Just before 3.30pm (Thursday 7 July 2016), two men entered a pharmacy on Rookwood Road, one armed with a firearm.

The men threatened staff and demanded money before fleeing with a small sum of cash.

They fled the area in a gold Mazda which was being driven by another man.

Police were alerted and officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.

A short time later, officers spotted the car in a car park on West Terrace and arrested three men.

They were taken to Bankstown Police Station. The three men, one aged 25 and the other two aged 23, were charged with robbery in company whilst armed with dangerous weapon.

They were refused bail and will appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 8 July 2016).
