Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a restaurant in Sydney’s west overnight.
Just before 11.15pm (Saturday 9 June 2016), a man approached a restaurant on Mamre Road, St Marys, as it was closing.
He produced a knife and an employee entered the store followed by the man.
The man removed cash from the tills before fleeing.
Officers attached to St Marys Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced investigations.
Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and balaclava.
As inquiries continue, investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information, to come forward.
