South Coast police have released images of a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a seven-day supermarket at Christies Beach.
Just before 5pm, a man armed with a kitchen knife threatened staff at the the IGA supermarket on Gulfview Road, stealing cash from both shop tills.
The suspect described as a male of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20’s about 175cms, wearing a grey hooded top with the wording ‘Tap Out” on the front plus black trackpants and white shoes. He fled the scene on foot. A white hatchback was seen leaving the area shortly after the robbery, but it is unknown if the car is connected to the robbery.
A search of the area including the use of a police dog patrol failed to locate the suspect.
There were no injuries.
