Logan detectives are investigating a series of incidents that occurred in Underwood overnight.

Around 11.50pm, two men armed with a sawn-off shotgun and a tomahawk have entered a licensed premises on Kingston Road and approached a male employee.

The men made demands for cash, and the employee complied, handing over a sum of cash.

The men fled the scene in a dark blue Ford sedan that was located damaged in a nearby underground carpark around 12.30am.

Police were then called to the intersection of St Andrews Terrace and Beenleigh Road at Kuraby following reports of a traffic crash.

On arrival, officers located a black Toyota sedan with significant damage. The occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene before police arrived.

Preliminary investigations suggest the Toyota had been stolen by two men from Ellis Place, Underwood around 12.20am. The 35-year-old male driver of the car was assaulted during this incident.

Police believe the two incidents are linked.

Investigations are continuing.
