Police are investigating the armed robbery of a sports club at Beenleigh in the early hours of this morning.
Around 2.50am two men forced entry to the Alamein Street premises by smashing an upstairs window.
The men, who were armed with a crowbar and a small axe, made their way to the ground floor where they confronted a 36-year-old female employee and a 33 year-old male employee and made demands for money.
An undisclosed amount of money was handed over to the men who then forced one of the employees to open the front doors to enable them to flee the premises.
Both men were wearing dark clothing covering the whole of their body, mask or balaclavas covering their faces and gloves.
One of the offenders was further described as having a skinny build and 165 cm tall.
