Police are searching for a man who held up a newsagency at Inala this morning.

Around 7.45am the man entered the Skylark Street store and demanded cash from the 62-year-old employee.

The offender intimated he was armed with a knife and threatened to harm the man.

He fled the shop with a sum of cash and was last seen getting into a dark coloured Mazda sedan.

The man is described as Aboriginal in appearance, aged in his early 20’s, around 170cms tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark coloured jumper and jeans.

No one was injured and police investigations are continuing.
