Police investigating the robbery and assault of a taxi driver that occurred in Auchenflower on Monday night have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Just after 11pm, a taxi driver stopped at an address on Beard Street when a man armed with a knife entered the taxi and demanded money.
The driver exited the vehicle, at which point the man pushed the driver to the ground and threatened him.
The driver complied with the man’s demands, handing over a sum of cash before the man fled the scene on foot.
The 29-year-old driver was not physically injured during the incident.
Police are looking for a man described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, approximately 170cm tall and was clean shaven.
He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black hooded jumper, black trousers and shoes.
