Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a service station in Sydney’s west overnight.

About 12.40am (Sunday 10 September 2016), a man entered a service station on the Great Western Highway, near the intersection of Rupertswood Road, Minchinbury and requested a packet of cigarettes.

Police have been told; the man produced a knife, and threatened the store attendant, a 21-year-old man, before fleeing with the cash register.

Officers from Mt Druitt Local Area Commands attended and conducted a search of the surrounding area.

Police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, with a tanned complexion, approximately 180-185cm tall, and of a slim build.

He was wearing a green and black high visibility hooded jacket, grey tracksuit pants, a black baseball cap and white runners.
