Cash was stolen from a taxi driver at Woodridge last night after a passenger produced a knife.

Around 11.40pm, as the taxi drove along Cypress Street, Woodridge, a male passenger threatened the driver with a knife and demanded he stop the taxi and hand over all his money.

The driver, a 26-year-old man, complied and the male passenger fled on foot and was last seen running through Willow Park.

The driver was not physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance with a heavy build and approximately 178cms tall.
