Two masked men robbed a Goodna supermarket early this morning.

The men entered the supermarket located at the intersection of Queen and Albert streets around 6am, jumping the front counter and threatening staff.

The pair, who were armed with a hammer and what was believed to be a knife, fled the scene with a sum of cash and cigarettes.

They were last seen driving away in a black car.

The men are described as 183 and 178cms tall respectively and with slim builds.

No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.
