Police have arrested a man after he allegedly tried to rob a supermarket at Marion this evening.

Just after 8.30pm on Saturday 8 October, a man entered the Marion Road supermarket with a bag covering his head and demanded money from staff.

The man was confronted by two customers inside the store at the time, who restrained him until police arrived and arrested him.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

A 43-year-old man from Mitchell Park was charged with attempted aggravated robbery. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
