Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged two men, aged 18 and 24, after investigations into two armed robberies and a shooting incident in the Logan area.
The men have been charged following investigations into the alleged armed robberies at two taverns: one on Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains on September 16 and the other on Gleneagles Avenue in Cornubia on September 26.
The 24-year-old man was extradited from New South Wales to Queensland yesterday to also face charges in relation to an alleged shooting incident on October 4 where a 19-year-old man sustained a non-life threatening leg injury at a Mudgee Street residence in Kingston.
He has been charged with two counts of armed robbery in company and one count each of acts intended to maim, dangerous conduct with a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon. He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
The 18-year-old Crestmead man has also been charged with two counts of armed robbery in company and is due to reappear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on December 20.
