A man has been charged with attempted armed robbery after allegedly making threats at a business in Kedron yesterday.
It will be alleged a man entered the food outlet on Gympie Road around 5.30pm and handed a note to a male employee claiming he was armed with a knife and demanding money.
The 46-year-old employee has then allegedly picked up two knives in his possession and showed them to the man, who has subsequently fled the premises.
Police attended the scene following reports the man has then allegedly entered a nearby fast food outlet armed with a knife.
A man was detained by police inside the premises and a weapon was located.
A 19-year-old Kedron man has been charged with attempted armed robbery and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
