Darebin and Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged three teenagers following a string of armed robbery incidents.

Investigators were called to a tobacconist on the Broadway in Reservoir following an alleged robbery about 5pm yesterday.

Three teenagers were later located and arrested about 7pm on Plowman Court, Epping.

The teenagers were standing next to a BMW which was allegedly stolen in a carjacking incident in Brunswick about 2.20pm on Saturday 5 November.

The vehicle was also allegedly involved in another armed robbery incident on Millar Street in Thornbury about 3.50pm that same day.

Two males, a 15-year-old from Richmond and a 17-year-old from Reservoir, have been charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft, assault and assault with weapon and remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

An 18-year-old Clyde North man has been charged with the same and remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on 17 February, 2017.
