Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a taxi driver in Morayfield on Sunday morning have released CCTV footage of two men who may be able to assist with their investigations.

Just before 2am two men on a motorcycle rode into a service station on Morayfield Road with one of the men, believed to be armed with a gun, attempting to enter the store.

When the doors did not open the man then approached a taxi parked next to the store and demanded money from the driver before discharging a shot.

The driver handed over a sum of cash before the two men fled the scene on the motorbike, travelling in the direction of Walkers Road.

The driver of the motorcycle is described as Caucasian and was last seen wearing a black jumper, dark pants and motorcycle helmet.

The passenger is described as male and was last seen wearing a dark blue jumper, dark pants and motorcycle helmet.
