Detectives from the Elizabeth CIB have arrested a man following the investigation into an aggravated robbery at a Salisbury service station early yesterday morning.

Just after 3am on Saturday 19 November, a man entered the service station on Commercial Road, Salisbury, armed with a knife and threatened the attendant.

He left with a sum of cash and was last seen walking towards South Terrace.

The staff member was not physically injured during the robbery.

Police attended and searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Ruger but could not locate the suspect.

As a result of investigations, a 25-year-old man from Salisbury was charged with aggravated robbery. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
