Detectives have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Browns Plains overnight.

Initial investigations indicate at around 10pm a man entered the business on Browns Plains Road armed with a knife and demanded cigarettes from a male staff member.

The staff member complied with the man’s demands before the man fled the scene on foot.

The 18-year-old staff member was not physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 168cm tall, of a slim build with short brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black shirt with black shorts and thongs.
