Police are investigating an armed robbery in Sydney’s north west overnight.

About 10.30pm (Sunday 18 December 2016), two males in balaclavas, one armed with a pistol and the other with a crowbar, attended a supermarket on East Market Street, Richmond, and threatened staff.

They were handed an amount of cash before fleeing the scene on foot.

No staff members were injured during the incident.

Police from Hawkesbury Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The offenders have been described as male, with Australian accents, wearing balaclavas, dark blue hooded jumpers and tracksuit pants.
