Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Surfers Paradise last night.
Around 9.30pm, a man armed with a handgun entered a licensed premises on Pine Avenue and demanded money from a female employee.
The 26-year-old woman complied and handed over a sum of cash before two other patrons entered the room.
As the man attempted to flee, he slipped and dropped a sum of money onto the floor before one of the patrons chased him from the premises.
Dog squad officers attended, however they were unable to locate the man.
Nobody was physically injured in the incident.
The man was dressed in black and had his face concealed.
