Police are investigating an armed robbery at Ryde.
About 2.15am (Tuesday 17 January 2017), a man, believed to be armed with a pistol, entered a licensed premises on Blaxland Road, Ryde, and threatened staff.
He was handed a sum of cash before fleeing the scene via Edward Street.
Police from Ryde Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. No staff members were injured.
At this stage the offender has only been described as male and wearing dark clothing.
Inquiries continue.
