Police investigating the armed robbery of a service station on January 21 have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, of medium height and slim build. He was wearing a black T-shirt, cargo shorts, a black backwards cap and thongs. In particular, he has a half sleeve on his upper left arm.

Initial information suggests just before 5am on January 21, two men entered the store on Telegraph Road armed with short axes.

The two men stole the entire cash register containing a sum of money as well as goods from the service station before fleeing the scene in a stolen red 2005 Audi convertible. The vehicle was stolen from an address in Deagon on January 17 and was located by police in Springfield on January 22.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
