Police are appealing for information following the armed hold up of a liquor store at Chester Hill yesterday.
Police were told about 6.30pm (Thursday 2 February 2017), a man entered the store situated in a shopping centre on Leicester Street and stole two bottles of beer.
An employee confronted the man outside the store. The man produced a small axe from a bag and threatened the employee before leaving the scene.
Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command were notified of the incident and began investigations.
Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as being of African appearance, 25-30 years old, and 182cm tall.
The man was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, black shoes, white hat, and had a white “bum bag” around his waist and was also carrying a large dark-coloured duffle bag.
