Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a ride sharing driver in Spring Hill last night have released an image of the vehicle they are searching for.
Around 9.20pm a man produced a firearm and forced the driver out of his white 2014 Toyota Aurion with Queensland registration 163VWP (similar to pictured) on Leichhardt Street before driving away.
The 40-year-old ride sharing driver was not injured.
Responding officers attempted to intercept the vehicle on Herston Road when it evaded police and continued travelling at speed, side-swiping two vehicles at the intersection of Newmarket and Lutwyche roads.
No one was injured during the collision.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his forties with short brown hair, a stubble beard and wearing a black jacket.
Anyone with information about the location of the vehicle is urged not to approach it but to contact police.
