2 March 2017 – Arrest – Ram Raid – Hotel – Laverton

Police have arrested a man after he crashed a car into a hotel in Laverton this morning.

It’s believed the car left the road as it exited the Princes Fry onto Aviation Road just before 3am (3 March).

A 20-year-old Altona North man was arrested after he attempted to flee on foot.

Another man believed to be in the car also fled the scene and is still outstanding.

Investigators believe the BMW is the same car that was allegedly stolen in an armed robbery in Reservoir on Tuesday night where a chainsaw and firearm was produced..

The Altona North man remains in custody and is currently assisting Police with their enquiries.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the crash.
