Darebin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a burglary at Bundoora overnight.

It’s believed three unknown offenders, one on a motorcycle and the other two in a four-wheel drive, have attended a Copernicus Crescent supermarket about 3.50am this morning.

The unknown offenders drove the four-wheel drive through the doors of the supermarket and into two automatic teller machines.

The thieves were unable to gain access to the machines and left empty handed.

They left the scene with the vehicles they arrived with.

The four-wheel drive was later found burnt out at an Argyle Street, Reservoir, reserve.

The investigation is ongoing.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw a black dirt bike or Mitsubishi Pajero in the area around the time of the incident.
