7 April 2017 – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Hotel – Meadowbrook

Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested a man in relation to the armed robbery of a hotel in Meadowbrook on January 1, 2017.

During the armed robbery it is alleged the man walked into the drive through section of the Logan Down Drive hotel produced a knife and demanded money.

It is alleged the man obtained a sum of cash from an employee.

A 37-year-old Currumbin Valley man has been charged with armed robbery.

He appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday April 6 and was remanded in custody to reappear in the same court on May 2, 2017.
