Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses to an alleged robbery at the Moil Supermarket last night.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Karl Day from the Serious Crime Squad said a 28-year-old man was closing the store when an unknown man entered just after 7.30pm.
“The man made his way around to the counter while threatening the attendant with a 15cm knife,” he said.
“The offender stole cash and an amount of tobacco before fleeing.”
He is described as aged between 15-20, about 178cm tall and part-indigenous. He was wearing a black shirt or jumper around his head, an orange and dark blue long sleeve high-visibility shirt with silver stripes, white rigger gloves, grey knee-length short and black sneakers.
It’s believed he fled across Moil Crescent towards Beck Street and Byrne Circuit.
