A stolen car was used to break into the yard of a business at Elizabeth South, before being torched at Waterloo Corner overnight.

Witnesses reported seeing a small grey hatchback being driven through the front gates of a business on Trimmer Road, Elizabeth South just after 12.30am on Monday 8 May.

The vehicle then drove out through another set of gates, damaging a roller door and a customer’s vehicle at the scene.

A short time later, just after 1am, police and fire crews were called to a car on fire in Calvengrove Road, Waterloo Corner.

The vehicle, a grey 2010 Holden Barina, had been reported stolen from Mawson Lakes in January 2016.  It was completely destroyed by fire.
