Police have arrested a two teenagers after they allegedly robbed a taxi driver at Elizabeth Park last night.

Just before 8pm, Friday 19 May, the taxi driver was approached on Sullivan Road by a young male who threatened him with a knife and took a bag containing his earnings before running away on foot.

Thankfully the victim was not physically injured, and was able to report the incident to the Elizabeth Police Station. Patrols quickly attended the area and conducted a search locating the teen nearby who matched the description given by the victim.

Police arrested the 14-year-old Elizabeth Park youth, and a 19-year-old man also from Elizabeth Park who also took part in the robbery.

Both have been charged with aggravated robbery, the young offender was refused bail and will appear in court on Monday, while the man was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
