Members from Strike Force Winx have charged a 19-year-old male with aggravated assault in Alice Springs.
Detective Sergeant Trent Abbott said the incident occurred at a business on Railway Terrace on Sunday 28 May.
“It is alleged the offender assaulted three people before he was restrained by members of the public,” he said.
“Police arrived a short time later and placed the male under arrest.”
The 19-year-old was charged with:
- Assault with intent to steal
- Aggravated assault (x3)
- Damage to property
- Armed with offensive weapon
- Disorderly behaviour.
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
