2 June 2017 – Armed Robbery – Supermarket – Sunnybank

Police are seeking public assistance to identify two men following an armed robbery in Sunnybank, last night.

Just before 9.00pm two men entered a Mains Road supermarket, selected groceries and were challenged by a 36-year-old female staff member when they were leaving the store without paying.

The men threatened that woman with a knife and they fled on foot with the items.

A 32-year-old male staff member from another business followed the two men and challenged them.  The two men assaulted the 32-year-old causing bruising to his face.

The two men fled with the property.

The 32-year-old was treated by QAS for his injuries.

Police would welcome any information relating to the two men.
