Logan Detectives have charged a man in relation to the attempted armed robbery of a bank at Loganholme yesterday afternoon (June 7).

It is alleged during the robbery a man armed with a spear gun entered the Mandew Street premises and demanded cash from staff before leaving empty handed.

A 23-year-old man from Drewvale has been charged with attempted armed robbery, evade police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

He is due to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow (June 9).
