Northern Territory Police have charged a 28-year-old man following the aggravated robbery of a taxi driver in Moil yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day said around 2:00pm the taxi driver picked up the alleged offender from a location in Karama and conveyed him to Moil.

“The offender has then threatened the driver with an empty syringe before making off with a small sum of cash.

“Police attended and the offender was arrested on Termansen Street by Strike Force Trident members with assistance from the Dog Operation Unit.”

 

He was charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in Darwin Local Court today.
