Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in a Nambour service station last night.

Around 9.45pm, a man armed with a knife entered the business located at the intersection of Nambour Connection Road and Bli Bli Road and approached the console operator.

He made demands for money and the console operator complied, handing over a sum of cash.

The man then fled the store on foot and was last seen running north along Nambour Connection Road.

No one was physically harmed during the incident.

The man is described as approximately 170cm tall with a medium build.

Anyone with any information in relation to this incident is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
