Police are investigating after an armed robbery incident at Tingalpa early this morning.

Initial investigations indicate at about 1.40am at a licenced premises on Manly Road, two men (pictured) entered the business premises.

One of the men entered the counter area and demanded money from a staff member whilst armed with a meat cleaver.

Both men left the business a short time later in a red Mazda hatch with a sum of cash and other property.

No one was injured during the robbery.

One of the men is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20’s, 180 cm tall, slim build and blonde hair. He was wearing a black hoodie, black long pants, orange joggers, black gloves and wearing a white cloth over his face.

The second man was wearing a light brown jacket, light coloured long pants, black dress shoes, red cap, white gloves and a cream coloured cloth over his face.

Investigations are continuing.
