Police are investigating after a delivery driver was robbed at Blacktown last night.
About 9.20pm (Thursday 22 June 2017) a 26-year-old man was delivering groceries to an address in Wallace Street, Blacktown.
On completion of the delivery he was returning to his truck when he was approached by a man described as Pacific Islander/Maori in appearance, about 180cm tall with an athletic build and wearing dark clothing.
The man produced a large knife and demanded the driver’s wallet, cash and a mobile EFTPOS machine used in the delivery process.
The armed man ran from the scene leaving the driver uninjured.
Police were called and a crime scene was established while a search was commenced utilising a Police Dog.
The man was unable to be located and a full investigation is now underway by police from Blacktown Local Area Command.
