Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Sydney’s west overnight.

About 7.15pm (Tuesday 11 July 2017), four men gained entry to a convenience store on Wattle Avenue, Carramar, armed with an iron bar.

The men confronted the 53-year-old employee, and threatened him, demanding money.

One of the armed men struck the staff member to the head.

They left with cash, and were last seen running from the scene towards Nash Lane. They entered a four wheel drive before driving towards Villawood.

Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The employee sustained minor head injuries.
