Police are investigating the armed robbery of a takeaway food shop at Labrador overnight.

Around 11.15pm two men have entered the store on Frank Street with one man armed with a hunting style knife and the second man claiming to be armed with a firearm. No firearm was actually sighted during the robbery.

The men have made demands for money and cut the cord to a point of sale computer possibly believing it was a cash register and fled the store with the item.

The men are described as being aged in their early 20’s, 175 cm tall wearing dark coloured hoodies and had their faces covered.

The 30-year-old male store employee was not physically injured during the incident.
