Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a hotel at Crestmead in the early hours of this morning.

Around 4am a man entered the Julie Street business through the unlocked front doors of the hotel and approached the 52-year-old male duty manager and made demands for money.

The manager yelled at the man and chased him out of the hotel.

The offender was last seen running eastbound towards Crescendo Place.

No money was obtained by the offender nor any weapon sighted.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The offender is described as being Caucasian, approximately 182cm tall and was wearing a balaclava, long sleave white shirt, black long pants and had an orange high visibility shirt draped over his shoulder covering his left hand.
