Northern Territory Police are calling for information on the whereabouts of 50-year-old Gavin Rankin.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Karl Day said police are wanting to speak to Gavin in relation to a number of aggravated robberies that occurred over the past week.

“The most recent incident involved a male entering the BP Palms service station just after 11:00pm yesterday and threating a staff member with a knife.

“The male fled the area with a quantity of cash, food and cigarettes.

“Police believe this incident, an incident at a Smith Street service station on Saturday 29 July and an incident in a Smith Street massage parlour on Friday 28 July are linked.

“We are asking all members of the public, including service stations and licensed premises to be on the lookout for Gavin.

“We believe he is currently in the Darwin area but may travel interstate.”

 

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm tall and of medium build with short dark hair and possible facial hair.
