Police have released CCTV vision of the armed robbery of a service station at Waterford West last month in a bid to identify the man involved.

At around 6.20am on July 14 a man can be seen and heard entering the Kingston Road business and threatening an employee with a knife before demanding cash.

The employee refused and the man left empty handed apart from some chocolate bars he took from the counter.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 180cms tall with a slim build and aged between 40-55 years of age.

The man was wearing a black hoodie, with a black cloth covering the bottom half of his face, black pants and carrying a black backpack.

No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

Anyone who may recognise the man in the footage is being urged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
