Sturt Detectives are seeking information from the public after two men robbed a Clarence Gardens hotel this morning.

Just after 8am on Sunday 13 August, the two men, one armed with a bat, entered the gaming room of the hotel on South Road threatening staff and assaulting a male patron, before stealing cash and fleeing on foot.

Patrols including a police dog patrol searched the area looking for the two men described as Caucasian in their early 20’s, both with slim builds, wearing hooded tops, jeans and sandshoes, last seen on Albert Street.

The male patron from the hotel who was hit in arm during the robbery was checked by ambulance officers at the scene, but didn’t require any further treatment.
