Two men have been arrested after an investigation into a robbery at a Clarence Gardens hotel last week.

Police will allege that about 8.15am on Sunday 13 August, two men entered the gaming room of the South Road hotel, with one of the men armed with a baseball bat. The men threatened staff and one patron was assaulted with the baseball bat. The two men left the gaming room after stealing an amount of money.

This morning (21 August) detectives from the Serious Crime Task Force arrested a 50-year-old man of Davoren Park and a 23-year-old man of Ascot Park.

Both men have been charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault. Their bail has been refused and they are due to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
